Well worth the money. I will not lie - it is like $60, but it is well worth it. It is much better than winzip, but much better than 7zip - too much, too much as you will find out. It also has the ability to use any soundcard's wave input and audio capture. Supports MP3, AC3, AAC, FLAC, WMA, OGG, CDA, WAV and AVI. This little app can even use Apple's Quicktime Audio Files, I have successfully converted MP3 to OGG with WiseCare. Installing it is easy. The user interface is easy to understand. The two functions that stand out are the Audio Transcoding and Audio Capture. First you can convert your MP3, AAC, AC3, CDA or WMA to WAV. I used MP3 and it converted it fine. Then, you can record a movie/audio clip (WAV) using your soundcard's wave capture. If you are a computer or Android user, you may already have these codecs. If you are not, you need to purchase a program that includes them - that is what it does. The tutorial is quite good and has lots of screenshots. I just wish the soundcard recording would be included in the tutorial, it would be the best part of the program. The video on their website shows it being used to record audio from an input device, but I did not try that. I tried the WAV encoder as it was one of their free apps. It is a bit basic, but it got the job done. I tried using it to record a movie, with one speaker, that was soundless, just the one speaker. At the end of the program, I had a WAV file. I then used the audio capture function to record the sound of my home computer speakers, and it worked! I used the WAV encoder as I am sure it is one of the best in the business, and I had high expectations. The program is free! I tried it on Windows 7 and 8, both 32 and 64 bit, and it worked fine.
